Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per physician orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Monitor residents’ health status, perform routine assessments, record findings, and report changes to the supervising RN.
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks, including wound care and hygiene support.
- Document care in the resident’s medical record, ensuring clarity, completeness, and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (RN, CNAs, physicians) to implement and adjust care plans.
- Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and quality-of-care procedures during night shifts.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing; eligibility to practice in New Mexico.
- Education: LPN diploma from an accredited program.
- Experience: Long-Term Care or skilled nursing setting experience preferred.
- Availability to work local travel assignments and 3x12-hour night shifts.
- Strong communication skills, ability to follow care plans, and teamwork mindset.
