Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated ICU nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; document findings and interventions per unit protocol.
- Monitor patient status, recognize clinical changes, and respond promptly with appropriate interventions.
- Administer medications and therapies, manage IV therapy and lines, and support ventilated or critically ill patients as directed.
- Supervise and direct activities of varying levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians and other disciplines while applying clinical judgment and professional discretion.
Requirements
- Active California RN license (or eligible) to practice in the state.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
- ICU nursing experience (minimum 1 year) in a high-acuity environment.
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in an ICU setting; strong clinical and communication skills.
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced ICU team.
