Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and establish a sterile field for surgical cases; assist the surgical team with instrument and equipment handling.
- Pass instruments to the surgeon and team, maintain accuracy in instrument and sponge counts, and anticipate instrument needs during procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning and draping as directed; ensure proper specimen handling and labeling.
- Maintain sterile technique, manage instrument trays, and communicate effectively with the circulating nurse and anesthesia team.
- Help with room turnover, instrument sterilization, and immediate post-procedure cleanup; participate in on-call coverage and accept weekend/holiday call as required.
Requirements
- Travel assignment experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience with a high skill rating preferred
- Burn care experience preferred
- Availability to start July 6, 2026 and commit to a 13-week assignment
- Ability to work a night shift schedule (2x3 Nights) and participate in on-call coverage, including weekends and holidays
