Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an outpatient care environment across FP, BH, OB, and UC departments
- Triage patient concerns, obtain vital signs, and assist with examinations
- Administer prescribed medications and injections in accordance with orders; support basic nursing procedures
- Prepare exam/treatment rooms, assist with minor procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Document patient encounters and interventions in the electronic health record; coordinate referrals and follow-up as directed
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-visit instructions; communicate effectively with diverse populations
- May be asked to support coverage at additional clinic locations as needed
Requirements
- Active LPN license in Hawaii
- Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
- CPR/BLS certification
- Clinic/outpatient experience preferred; ability to work in a hospital-based outpatient setting
- Availability to work Monday–Friday, typically 8:00 AM–6:00 PM; willingness to travel to additional locations for coverage
- Ability to meet an 80-hour per two-week schedule
