Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse, Labor & Delivery (L&D) travel assignment in Chinle, Arizona, United States. Start date 07/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,428–$2,495 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for laboring patients, OB triage, immediate postpartum, and newborn transition
- Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vitals; administer medications and follow orders; support labor progress and analgesia as directed
- Perform newborn assessments, assist with newborn transition, and support discharge planning and patient education
- Respond to obstetric emergencies, maintain patient safety, and collaborate with the obstetric team, anesthesia, and nursery staff
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care, assessments, and care plans; ensure safe handoffs between shifts and units
- Uphold infection prevention and sterile technique; demonstrate independence in L&D, obstetric triage, postpartum, and newborn care settings
Requirements
- Active RN license (any US territory acceptable) at time of submission
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience with the last 2 years in the L&D specialty
- Certifications required at submission: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA NRP, and AWHONN
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with rotating day/night schedules (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
- Demonstrated ability to independently function in L&D, OB triage, immediate postpartum care, and newborn transition
- Unit layout includes 4 L&D beds and 6 postpartum beds; comfortable working in a high-acuity obstetric unit
