Travel Occupational Therapist Job
Occupational Therapist – travel assignment in Tacoma, WA. This 13-week, travel temporary assignment starts May 18, 2026 in a skilled nursing facility setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,337 to $2,536 per week, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week. Shifts run 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., typically five days per week. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for residents and initial care planning.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans to improve activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognition, and upper-extremity function.
- Deliver direct therapy to residents, including one-on-one and small-group sessions, aligned with the treatment plan.
- Recommend and train in adaptive equipment and assistive devices; modify environments to enhance safety and independence.
- Document assessment results, goals, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic medical record; communicate progress with the interdisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapy staff, and families to support discharge planning and transitions of care; adjust goals as progress is achieved.
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Washington state or eligibility for licensure.
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting and participate in a travel assignment schedule.
- Strong documentation and communication skills; comfort collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in geriatric rehabilitation or SNF settings is preferred.
