Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a med/surg telemetry overflow unit, including routine assessments, monitoring, and care coordination for ED boarders and med/surg tele patients.
- Monitor telemetry on the unit and via remote systems; perform 12-lead ECG interpretation and respond to telemetry alarms as appropriate.
- Perform phlebotomy and IV insertion with competency; manage IV therapy and related care.
- Support feeding tube care (NG/G-tube) and Foley catheter management; perform wound care and simple dressing changes.
- Assist with central line dressing changes and monitoring of blood products as indicated; administer medications via appropriate routes (per scope); provide oxygen therapy and vital signs documentation.
- Chart accurately in EPIC; communicate status changes, isolation precautions, and patient needs to the interdisciplinary team (IV team, PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Work, RRT, Interpretation, Transport, Unit Secretary).

Requirements
- Active New York license in hand to submit (per unit notes)
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Phlebotomy and IV insertion competency required
- BLS Certification required
- First-time traveler accepted; ability to float to med/surg and telemetry as needed
- Ability to work in a 14-bed Med/Surg Telemetry overflow unit and adhere to isolation precautions and patient safety protocols
