Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical setting with oncology considerations.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, including administration of medications and IV therapies.
- Monitor patient status and telemetry, respond to changes, and escalate issues per protocol.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient education.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality improvement standards in a fast-paced, acute care environment.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in the Oncology specialty (or clearly related high-acuity medical-surgical care)
- Ability to work in an acute care hospital setting and accommodate a 12-hour day shift schedule
- Willingness to travel for temporary assignment and adhere to assignment-specific requirements
