Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care based on physiological and psychosocial assessments, aligned with the CPM and Caring-Quality Model.
- Provide nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions and co-morbidities, including endoscopy-related cases, in a fast-paced medical-surgical setting.
- Demonstrate clinical leadership by sharing knowledge, serving as a clinical resource, and modeling professional practice; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team huddles.
- Maintain effective communication with the care team using SBAR, and contribute to the group’s bedside care and documentation through a Virtual Nursing staffing model.
- Ensure accurate documentation and efficient time management to support overall unit performance and patient safety; uphold standards of infection control and quality of care.
- Adhere to unit-specific competencies and participate in ongoing professional development to support lifelong learning and evidence-based practice.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Michigan
- BLS (American Heart Association) CPR certification
- Minimum 2 years RN Endoscopy experience (endoscopy-specific practice required)
- Experience on a Level 3 Medical-Surgical unit or equivalent fast-paced medical-surgical environment
- Ability to work a day shift schedule (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) for 40 hours per week
- Must be able to participate effectively in a team-based, high-demand setting; adherence to attendance policies as outlined in the assignment notes
