Responsibilities
- Operate the GE EVO CT Unit to perform CT examinations, following established protocols and patient-specific considerations.
- Position patients correctly, optimize scanning parameters, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Administer contrast material per protocol, monitor for adverse reactions, and manage IV access as needed.
- Prepare, review, and process CT images; document procedures and communicate findings to the radiologist and referring clinicians.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards, maintain infection control, and participate in routine equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with radiology staff and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and accurate patient care.
Requirements
- Active radiologic technologist license in the state of California (RT in CA) required.
- ARRT certification: RT(R) and CT (ARRT-CT) required; ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-CT eligibility acceptable per policy.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years performing CT in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months.
- Specialty experience: Must have experience with the GE EVO CT Unit.
- Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
- Certifications: ARRT RT(R)(CT) required; Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required.
- Additional: Venipuncture certification preferred; fluoroscopy license preferred in CA.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced CT environment within a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting.
