Responsibilities
- Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body
- Explain the procedure to patients, position and immobilize them on the exam table, and observe during the scan under physician direction
- Review and evaluate computer-generated information to determine if images meet diagnostic quality standards
- Apply safety measures and use protection devices to ensure patient and staff safety in the MRI environment
- Maintain clear patient communication, document procedures, and ensure proper labeling and data integrity of images
Requirements
- Ability to perform MRI procedures and produce diagnostic-quality images
- Proficiency in patient positioning and immobilization for MRI exams
- Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and radiation-free imaging practices
- Strong communication skills to explain procedures and gather patient information
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule and participate in a travel assignment
