Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for patients across the age range within the ER, using the nursing process to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team to coordinate timely delivery of care aligned with the medical plan.
- Triage, treat, and support trauma and emergency patients of all ages during night shifts.
- Incorporate teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care for patients and families.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice.
- Maintain patient safety, advocate for patients, and document care accurately in the medical record.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Experience in emergency department care (ER) preferred
- Ability to work night shift (12-hour shifts, 3x12)
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment to Marysville, CA
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; able to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable delivering care to patients across the age spectrum in an acute care setting
