Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging examinations as ordered, ensuring diagnostic image quality and adherence to protocol
- Position patients appropriately, immobilize as needed, and assess safety for CT procedures
- Operate CT equipment and accessories, adjust exposure parameters, and monitor radiation dose with emphasis on dose optimization
- Prepare patients, verify orders, and review contraindications or safety concerns prior to imaging
- Document procedures and results in the EMR (Altera Sunrise) and communicate findings to radiologists and referring physicians
- Collaborate with the imaging team and participate in on-call rotation as outlined in the assignment notes
Requirements
- ARRT certification in CT (CT) and BLS
- Minimum 1 year of CT Tech experience; 3 years of CT experience preferred
- Not accepting new graduates
- Ability to work nights in a hospital setting and maintain pace with a high-volume imaging environment
