Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg|Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry position in Rochester, New York for a travel assignment starting 07/06/2026. The assignment runs for Weeks on a 3x12 Night shift in a 20-bed inpatient unit serving adults and geriatrics with typical cardiac and stroke-related diagnoses. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric patients on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit
- Monitor vital signs, assess changes, and interpret basic dysrhythmias; respond to emergent events as needed
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy; perform phlebotomy as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Transportation, Interpreter services) to coordinate care
- Assist with rapid response/Code team activations and ensure proper isolation precautions and PPE usage
- Document care in the Epic charting system and communicate patient status to the team
Requirements
- Active NY RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience
- Med Surg/Telemetry experience preferred; First-time travelers accepted
- Epic charting experience required or strongly preferred (confirm during submittal)
- Floating within MS/Telemetry scope; unit requires float to MS, ICU, ED
- Shift flexibility for 3x12 Nights; weekends required as part of scheduling
- Not accepting local candidates within 75 miles of the assignment location
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status not specified
