Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Maintains accurate and complete patient documentation; monitors patient status and responds to changes in condition.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Participates in patient and family education as part of discharge planning when appropriate.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (CA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Med Surg experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
