Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults on a PCU/cardiac telemetry unit, including monitoring, assessments, and care planning
- Manage telemetry monitoring, administer prescribed medications, IV therapy, and fluids; respond to alarms promptly
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions as needed
- Perform accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (Epic EMR); ensure charting reflects current status and interventions
- Support patient and family education, discharge planning, and transitional care to optimize outcomes
- Floats to sister campuses as required; adhere to unit protocols and maintain patient safety and infection control standards
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Florida
- Minimum 2 years’ PCU experience; cardiac unit experience strongly preferred
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
- Degree accreditation in nursing or 5 years of nursing experience
- Proficiency with Epic EMR; ability to work in a 36-bed Cardiac Medicine Unit with telemetry
- Floating required to other campuses; radius rule within 50 miles of permanent address; all RTO must be submitted at submission
