Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER, Travel (Pahala, Hawaii, United States). Start date: 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Shift: 12-hour shifts (6 x 12-hr shifts per 2 weeks) totaling 72 hours; every 3rd weekend off. Weekly pay range: $2,041–$2,135. Hours are not guaranteed. This assignment is in a small Critical Access Hospital with ER care delivered across multiple areas, including potential coverage of acute and long-term care as needed.

Responsibilities
- Deliver emergent and routine nursing care to ER patients, including triage, stabilization, monitoring, and coordination of interventions.
- Provide coverage across ER, and, when needed, support in acute and long-term care areas within a small multi-area facility.
- If assigned to medications, administer medications and perform related procedures for LTC and acute patients.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies.
- Communicate effectively with attending physicians, ancillary staff, and oncoming shifts to ensure continuity of care.
- Adapt to variable volumes and patient needs in a rural hospital setting with no separate unit structure.
Requirements
- Hawaii RN license (active) by start of assignment; if not currently licensed, must apply upon acceptance and obtain license by start date.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an Emergency Department.
- Ability to work across ER, Acute, and LTC areas as needed; capable of med administration and procedures when assigned to meds.
- Capacity to work 12-hour shifts within a 72-hour biweekly schedule; flexible to the small-hospital environment.
- Onboarding requirement: must arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health clearance; inability to attend on time may affect start date.
