Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders; develop and implement plans of care following regulatory and clinical standards.
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support interventions; document progress and adjust treatments in the clinical record per requirements.
- Provide counseling and education to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing concerns; communicate progress and treatment plans with the supervisor and health team.
- Create comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain patient records in compliance with policy; accurately record treatment minutes and ensure documentation aligns with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists; participate in required meetings (e.g., patient care conferences, rehabilitation meetings) and trainings.

Requirements
- Missouri State License as Speech-Language Pathologist (active)
- ASHA CCC-SLP certification required
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience; LTC or rehab experience preferred
- New grads OKAY with Level II experience (not Level I observation)
- Ability to work in a long-term care/rehabilitation setting
- Ability to supervise and mentor CFY or student SLPs
