Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse - Med Surg in a hospital setting, located in Columbia, MO. Start date 05/11/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range is $2,085–$2,182 with 36 guaranteed hours per week. Shift is nights on a 3x12-hour schedule. This role works on a general Medical Specialties/Acute Inpatient unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients on a general Med/Surg unit, including monitoring, vital signs, and care planning.
- Administer medications and manage multiple IV therapies; perform IV insertion as needed; operate IV pumps and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Monitor respiratory status and provide airway support as required (CPAP/BiPAP) per protocol; assist with oxygen therapy and related equipment.
- Conduct nursing assessments, document care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality outcomes.
- Support line management and vascular access tasks; preferred experience with PICC/Central Line management when assigned.
- Float to other Med/Surg areas as needed; maintain patient safety and situational awareness in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements during care delivery; document accurately and promptly.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Missouri
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing or acute inpatient care required
- Ability to float to other Med/Surg areas as needed
- Must provide current CEU documentation during interview
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Willingness to work nights and to manage up to 8 patients when required (ratio nights 1:6; not guaranteed)
