Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language pathology evaluations for adults in an acute care setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing communication and swallowing disorders.
- Provide direct therapy as prescribed, monitor progress, and document patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary rehab team and physicians to support patient care plans.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and safe swallowing.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordination with case management to support transitions of care.
Requirements
- Active license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts or eligibility for licensure.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week in a daytime schedule (08:00–16:30), with 5x8 shifts.
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing environments preferred.
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills to support multidisciplinary care.
