Step into a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery in Utica, New York, where every birth becomes a moment of wonder, skill, and compassionate care. This weeks-long assignment invites you to shape outcomes, support families through one of life’s most meaningful events, and elevate your clinical practice alongside a nationwide team that understands the artistry and science of obstetric care. You’ll be part of a culture that valorizes precision, empathy, and teamwork, while enjoying opportunities to advance your expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Beyond the work, seize the beauty of New York State—from the tranquil foothills of the Adirondacks to the vibrant corridors of historic towns and the scenic rivers that punctuate every season. Utica offers a compelling blend of community charm and professional potential. Located in central New York, it provides an affordable living environment, easy access to larger metro areas, and year-round outdoor activities. The local healthcare ecosystem presents a breadth of obstetric cases that challenge and grow your expertise, while the surrounding region connects you to a wider network of hospitals and clinics across the U.S. The opportunity to travel or rotate through multiple facilities means you can broaden your clinical horizons—encounter new patient populations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and gain exposure to varied birth practices that enrich your professional toolkit.
Role specifics and benefits are designed to support you at every stage of this journey. In this Labor and Delivery RN role, you’ll lead or co-lead labor management, monitor fetal and maternal status, interpret monitoring data, respond to deviations with evidence-based interventions, and partner closely with obstetricians, midwives, nurses, nurses’ aides, and lactation consultants to deliver safe, compassionate care. You’ll provide comprehensive education to families, support the newborn transition, assist with deliveries, prepare postnatal care plans, and advocate for mother and baby through every phase. The position emphasizes professional growth: gain exposure to high-risk obstetrics, expand your leadership potential, and prepare for future roles such as charge nurse, unit educator, or specialty coordinator. This assignment includes a competitive weekly pay range of 2,211 to 2,327, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week, creating stability in your schedule and earnings as you build your temporary but impactful chapter. Additional benefits include housing assistance to ease relocation, a potential sign-on or completion bonus, and extension opportunities that let you continue to grow within our expansive network. You will also have access to robust, 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team, ensuring you always have a responsive partner for travel logistics, credential questions, and clinical inquiries—so you can focus on patient care and professional excellence.
Our commitment to you goes beyond assignments. The company foregrounds empowerment—investing in your development with structured career pathways, ongoing education opportunities, mentorship, and a culture that respects work-life balance. You’ll join a supportive environment that values your voice, recognizes your achievements, and champions collaboration across departments and campuses. Whether you’re seeking to refine obstetric skills, expand leadership capabilities, or simply experience different settings while maintaining a stable schedule, you’ll find a partner in a company that prioritizes your growth and well-being.
