Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for an assigned patient group using the nursing process
- Collect relevant data, assess, document findings, and analyze information to inform care decisions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other team members
- Administer medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and ensure patient safety
- Supervise and delegate appropriate duties to licensed and unlicensed staff; support a collaborative team environment
- Participate in discharge planning, patient and family education, and ongoing clinical learning
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California) or as required by the state of assignment
- CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor; ACLS certification required
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification or demonstrated competency required
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- Minimum two years of recent acute care experience
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work night shifts in a hospital setting
