Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department travel assignment in Watertown, NY. Start date: 04/20/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,318–$2,422 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Setting: hospital. This is a travel - temporary assignment requiring active RN licensure in New York and ED experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and re-evaluation.
- Administer medications and perform IV therapy; manage procedures as ordered and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case management, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort; recognize life-threatening changes and intervene promptly; utilize safe lifting and patient transfer techniques.
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse; demonstrate leadership, prioritization, and delegation to the team.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure continuity of care across shifts.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license (active)
- BLS and ACLS required; PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer
- MEDITECH experience required
- Travel nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Critical Care and charge nurse experience preferred
- Required during orientation: IV therapy, medication administration, and phlebotomy certification
