Responsibilities
- Assess patient and family needs; develop and revise a patient-centered plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Deliver direct nursing care, monitor patient progress, and adjust care plans based on patient response
- Provide cardiac care and telemetry monitoring as part of the Med/Surg unit responsibilities
- Educate patients and families to support self-care and post-discharge health maintenance
- Administer medications, document care accurately, and maintain infection prevention practices
- Conduct rounds per protocol; communicate clearly with the care team to ensure safe, coordinated care
Requirements
- Active NYS Registered Nurse licensure
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
- Ability to work rotating day/night shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Telemetry monitoring experience is preferred
