Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech – Ultrasound specialty in Lodi, California. Start date: 08/24/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,915–$1,976. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 4x10 days (approx. 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; one day per week with a 3-hour call window 5:30 PM–8:30 PM). Travel assignment in a Short Term Acute Care setting.

Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures per physician orders, producing images of internal tissues to diagnose or monitor conditions (e.g., heart, abdomen, OB/pelvis, breast) and vascular studies as assigned.
- Operate GE Logiq E9 and E10 ultrasound machines, optimize image quality, capture and document findings, measurements, and calculations for physician review.
- Position patients, apply appropriate transducers, monitor vital signs, and provide direct patient care and explanation of procedures; ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Compile, verify, and present imaging results and relevant data in the patient record, while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines.
- Assist with a range of studies (breast, OB, anatomy, DVT, carotid, renal arteries, abdominal, pelvis, upper/lower extremities) and participate in quality assurance and equipment maintenance.
- May supervise and mentor ultrasound staff, and collaborate with physicians and radiology teams to support accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain inventory and ensure equipment is functional; adhere to established imaging protocols and department standards.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or certificate from an ultrasound-focused college or school (required)
- Experience: At least two years of recent ultrasound experience
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Active ultrasound certification(s) in AB, OB, or RVT (ARDMS) or CCI-RVS or ARRT-S or ARRT-VS; or ARRT credential in Sonography (S/VS) as applicable; within one year of hire (as required in CA/HI)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current nursing license per the state of assignment
- EPIC experience is required
- Ability to work in a high-volume short-term acute care setting and to handle multiple study types (breast, OB, anatomy, DVT, vascular, renal, carotid, abdomen, pelvis)
- Availability for 40 hours per week and the specified shift pattern, including weekly call window
