Registered Nurse – Med Surg in Herrin, Illinois. This travel, temporary assignment starts 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $1,621 to $1,689 and guaranteed 36 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult patients on Med/Surg units, including Ortho and North Surgical services.
- Perform patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and accurate documentation of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case management, and other members of the health care team to develop and implement patient care plans and discharge planning.
- Maintain patient safety, respond to emergencies, and adhere to unit policies and procedures; ensure accurate charting and timely communication.
- Participate in appropriate floating to clinically suitable Med-Surg units as needed, within scope of practice and licensure.
- Work the night shift and accommodate every other weekend and on-call expectations as required by the assignment.
Requirements
- NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required.
- Floating to clinically appropriate Med-Surg units as needed, within the clinician’s scope of practice and licensure.
- Willingness to work night shifts and every other weekend per assignment requirements.
- Travel assignment of 13 weeks with guaranteed weekly hours (36 hours per week).
