Responsibilities
- Independently manage technical aspects of implanted cardiac rhythm management (CRM) devices, including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and implanted loop recorders
- Perform device interrogations, programming, troubleshooting, and routine checks
- Verify device function, document findings in the electronic medical record, and communicate results to the care team
- Maintain thorough knowledge of CRM systems, cardiac physiology, and rhythms; apply this knowledge to patient care
- Provide patient education regarding device function, follow-up care, and safety considerations
- Adhere to outpatient clinic protocols and safety standards; collaborate with EP/arrhythmia team to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements
- Certifications: BLS; Pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent job experience
- Experience: EPIC EMR experience within the last 2 years; knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology
- Education: Pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent education/training
- Ability to work in an outpatient device clinic setting and participate in a travel assignment
- Eligible to work in the United States; reliable transportation is recommended
