Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the cath lab according to established standards of care and the nursing process; supervise and direct activities of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines; exercise critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Provide peri-procedural nursing care for patients undergoing interventional procedures; monitor patient status and vital signs; administer medications as allowed; ensure patient safety and comfort throughout.
- Assist interventional team with equipment preparation, sterile technique, and procedural support; document care and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and support staff to plan and execute procedures; participate in post-procedure care and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure infection control, safety, and quality standards.
- Perform post-procedure care instructions and patient education; contribute to cath lab turnover and throughput.
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license.
- Ability to work in a cath lab/interventional setting.
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment; duration commitment understood.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to comply with facility policies, procedures, and credentialing requirements.
- U.S. work authorization and eligibility to work in the United States.
