Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures per physician orders, ensuring proper patient identification and safety protocols.
- Position and immobilize patients for CT scans; optimize image quality while minimizing dose.
- Adjust scan parameters and protocols to meet clinical indications and ensure diagnostic-quality images.
- Maintain strict radiation safety practices and ALARA principles; monitor equipment for proper function.
- Document procedures and findings in the electronic health record (Epic or equivalent) and communicate findings with radiologists as needed.
- Collaborate with the radiology team to ensure patient care needs are met; participate in unit coverage and shift logistics.
Requirements
- Active ARRT CT certification and ARRT Radiography certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- A minimum of 3 years of radiology technologist experience
- Prior travel experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Phillips CT experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital travel setting; must have reliable transportation
