Responsibilities
- Support diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures, maintaining sterile technique and readiness of equipment and supplies.
- Monitor patient status during procedures, assist physicians, administer medications as protocol, and document intra-procedural data.
- Collaborate with the physician and an interdisciplinary team to coordinate peri-procedural patient care across the cath lab and related units.
- Ensure equipment functionality, participate in patient transport and positioning, and float to related units as requested.
- Recognize and respond to intra-procedural changes or complications, adhering to safety protocols and patient comfort standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a patient-centered care plan from pre-procedure through post-procedure.
Requirements
- Cath Lab experience: 2 years of Cath Lab experience (REQUIRED)
- Certifications: ARRT, ACLS, and BLS (Facility will not pend license/certs)
- References: 2 Supervisory References from the past 12 months of employment
- Skills: Skills checklist current to within 1 year, pertinent to the Cath Lab specialty
- Additional: Ability to work in an acute care setting and participate in an on-call schedule as described
