Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing radiology and imaging procedures
- Prepare and recover patients for interventional radiology (IR), CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and fluoroscopy procedures
- Monitor patient status and vital signs during procedures; respond to changes and administer medications as required
- Assist radiology teams with procedures, patient positioning, and maintaining sterile technique
- Document care, procedures, and patient outcomes; communicate with physicians, technologists, and other team members
- Manage on-call duties (approximately 2–3 shifts per month) and coordinate safe transitions of care
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license (state-specific required)
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in radiology/imaging specialty (special procedures)
- Nursing Prep/Recovery experience for IR, CT, US, MRI, NM, and Fluoroscopy
- Ability to work 10-hour shifts in a hospital setting and to participate in travel assignment
- Education: degree from an accredited nursing program (RN)
