Responsibilities
- Perform MRI scans according to prescribed protocols, ensuring correct patient positioning, safety, and image quality.
- Administer IV contrast for MRI as required, monitor patients during contrast administration, and maintain infection control practices.
- Acquire standard and advanced MRI sequences, adjust parameters as needed, and collaborate with radiologists on image quality and diagnostic goals.
- If CT is needed, perform CT scans within NY regulations, including IV contrast administration, while maintaining safety and documentation standards.
- Complete accurate procedure documentation in the charting system (Epic) and verify patient identity and exam details.
- Coordinate with radiology team and support staff to optimize patient flow, adaptability, and coverage within the department.

Requirements
- ARRT-MR certification
- NY State radiologic technologist license with permanent license in hand prior to start (temporary licenses not accepted)
- IV contrast/injection certification required
- Ability and/or experience to perform CT scans
- 2 years of MRI experience; travel experience preferred
- Epic charting experience required (or strong proficiency with Epic for radiology documentation)
- Must be able to work the listed schedule (Mon–Fri, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM) and operate within a hospital imaging department
