Travel Registered Nurse Hospice Job
Registered Nurse – Hospice, travel assignment in Plymouth, MA. Start date May 18, 2026 for a 13-week duration. Weekly pay range: $2,216–$2,287 per week. Guaranteed hours: 72 hours biweekly. Shift: 5x8 Days (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday). Work includes hospice visits in outpatient and patient home settings with travel between sites; mileage is reimbursed under IRS guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Provide hospice nursing care to patients in outpatient and home settings, coordinating symptom management and comfort
- Perform 4–5 patient visits per day, including routine visits in patient homes and nearby care sites
- Assess, document, and update patient condition; administer medications per orders; monitor for adverse events
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans; communicate changes to patients and families
- Travel between patient sites within a defined service area; maintain professional standards and complete charting accurately
- Educate patients and families on disease progression, symptom control, and end-of-life care planning; coordinate referrals and discharge planning as needed
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Hospice or palliative care experience preferred; able to manage 4–5 visits per day
- Must be able to travel 30–50 miles daily; candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location
- Able to work in outpatient/home-based hospice care settings; strong communication and documentation skills
- Availability for day shift Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. and the ability to work independently in a travel role
