Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse - OR, Atlanta, GA. This travel assignment begins 05/04/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Expect a weekly pay range of $1,996–$2,125 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift pattern is 2x3 days, with responsibilities in a hospital-level operating room. Scheduling includes call, with weekends and holidays required. No block scheduling. This perioperative role supports acute care surgical services in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for diverse surgical cases in the OR, including preop assessment and patient prep
- Maintain sterile technique, manage instrument counts, and ensure proper case setup for the surgical team
- Assist anesthesia during induction and throughout the intraoperative period; monitor patient status and respond to changes
- Position patients safely, protect patient privacy, and document intraoperative events in the medical record
- Facilitate turnover between cases, assist with instrument handling and specimen management, and coordinate with circulating staff
- Postoperative care in the immediate recovery phase as indicated, with safe patient handoff to PACU and postoperative teams
- Collaborate with trauma and specialty teams as needed, adhering to unit policies and safety standards
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia
- OR/perioperative nursing experience; level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Burn experience preferred
- Ability to work weekends and holidays and participate in on-call coverage as assigned
- Education: graduate of an approved nursing program; eligible to practice as an RN in GA
