Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse - ER travel assignment in Sonora, CA. Start date 09/21/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range $1,956-$2,076 per week with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to ER patients using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, with thorough documentation.
- Collect and analyze patient and family data to identify health issues and develop individualized care plans with measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate and delegate clinical tasks to licensed and unlicensed team members; collaborate with physicians and other disciplines to expedite care.
- Administer medications, monitor for adverse reactions, perform procedures within scope, and respond to emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
- Participate in discharge planning from admission through discharge, provide patient/family education, and ensure continuity of care across transitions.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment while upholding infection control practices, patient safety standards, and HIPAA privacy.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience: At least two years of recent ER or acute care experience
- Certifications: CPR/BLS and ACLS and PALS from approved vendors (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) required
- Special requirement: EPIC EHR experience required
- Ability to work nights in a fast-paced ER environment
