Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, patient-centered nursing care for a Med Surg patient group according to the nursing process and established standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; develop and adjust the care plan; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and treatments, manage lines/tubes as appropriate, and respond to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team; participate in discharge planning and education to promote safe transitions of care.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to assigned nursing staff as appropriate; maintain a safe, healing environment; document in the electronic medical record (Epic).
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (Oregon).
- BLS certification (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) as required by policy.
- EPIC experience required (Epic EMR).
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience.
- BSN preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced Med Surg setting; available for night shifts.
