- Certifications/credentials required for submission: NBRC RRT, MA RRT license, NRP
Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care per physician orders, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring
- Manage and assist with a range of therapies (nebulized medications, airway clearance techniques, aerosolized medications) and weaning from ventilator support when indicated
- Perform and document patient assessments, monitor device performance, and adjust therapies as ordered
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment; ensure infection control and equipment safety standards
- Document care in the electronic medical record (EPIC experience preferred) and participate in patient rounds and interdisciplinary communication
- Work independently on assigned shift and participate in holiday coverage as required
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license at time of submission
- NBRC certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required at submission
- NRP certification required
- AHA-BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- 1+ year of acute care respiratory therapy experience
- EPIC EMR experience preferred; 2 recent manager/supervisor references in the specialty
