Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adults on a Med Surg/Oncology inpatient unit, following physicians’ orders and established care plans
- Assess, document, and monitor patient conditions; administer medications and IV therapies per protocol
- Monitor vitals, manage drains and lines, and respond to clinical changes with timely interventions
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans; educate patients and families on treatment plans, safety, and discharge needs
- Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation; ensure infection control and safety standards are followed
- Prioritize workload in a high-acuity setting and participate in rounds and handoffs with the care team
Requirements
- Min of 2 years of recent RN experience in Med Surg/Oncology
- AHA BLS certification required
- Ability to work in a high-acuity inpatient Med Surg/Oncology unit
- Willingness to fulfill a travel assignment and 12-hour day shifts with holiday requirements
