Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Columbia, Missouri. Travel assignment starts 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with a weekly pay range of $2,113–$2,252. Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.) with occasional weekends in a hospital medical-surgical unit that serves a variety of surgical cases and supports discharge planning.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care for adult medical-surgical patients, including up to 8 patients when needed
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including IV access and line care (PICC/Central lines as indicated)
- Perform bedside shift reports, participate in rounds, and assist with discharge planning and patient education
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team
- Float between Med-Surg and Orthopedics units as required; support post-operative patients and wound care management
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg experience in a medium-to-large organization
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Willingness and ability to float between Med-Surg and Orthopedics units
- Comfortable with nurse-patient ratios up to 1:6 to 1:8 on night shifts
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed
- Current credentials to practice as an RN in the applicable state (where the assignment is located)
