Responsibilities
- Perform cardio-pulmonary evaluation and ongoing assessment of patients
- Deliver prescribed respiratory care, including airway management and ventilator support
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment per protocols or physician orders
- Provide education to patients, families, and the care team; document care and outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team across inpatient and outpatient areas
- Implement life-support measures as needed and participate in code/critical care activities
Requirements
- Active New York State license as a Respiratory Therapist and NBRC RRT credential
- Associate degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
- Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Resuscitation experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer; NY Temporary Health Care Service Agency license/registration must be uploaded upfront
