Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient occupational therapy evaluations and treatment to adult patients, focusing on improving activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust goals as needed
- Apply orthopedic/hand therapy approaches when applicable; utilize evidence-based interventions to support recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other rehabilitation team members to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, adaptive equipment, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to privacy, safety, and professional standards
Requirements
- Outpatient experience required
- Orthopedic/hand therapy experience preferred
- Ability to work in an outpatient clinical setting
- Willingness to work at a secondary area office location within the region as needed
- Strong communication and documentation skills
