Responsibilities
- Deliver primary nursing care to PCU and telemetry patients, monitor cardiac rhythms, read telemetry strips, and perform fingerstick blood glucose checks.
- Manage patient care using Meditech for charting and Pyxis for medication administration; provide BIPAP support when indicated; maintain continuous cardiac monitoring.
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to develop and execute individualized care plans; document changes accurately and communicate clinical updates.
- Float to other acute units in-house as needed (Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, ER) following unit policies; adapt to different patient acuity levels while maintaining safety.
- Educate patients and families, ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols, and uphold professional nursing standards.

Requirements
- Hawaii license: active Hawaii RN license by start of assignment; if not in possession, must apply upon acceptance.
- Experience: at least 1 year of hospital acute care within the last year; progressive care and telemetry experience preferred.
- Certifications: ACLS preferred; PALS preferred; NIHSS certification preferred.
- Skills: strong telemetry interpretation, primary nursing care proficiency, and comfort with Meditech charting and Pyxis medication systems.
- Onboarding: must arrive the Thursday before start for employee health appointment; start date not acceptable if unavailable.
