Mammography radiologic technologist — Travel assignment in Clearlake, California. This 13-week travel role supports radiology services in a critical access hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations using Hologic mammography equipment; apply quality controls and ensure image quality.
- Position patients and acquire diagnostic-quality images, following established protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Review images for technical adequacy, apply Volpara MRS density assessment as appropriate, and communicate findings to the interpreting radiologist.
- Operate and maintain consistent workflow with equipment including GE Dexa systems; assist with routine quality control tasks and documentation.
- Protect patient safety and comfort, manage radiation exposure per ALARA principles, and maintain patient privacy during procedures.
- Document exam details and results, accurately label and archive images, and collaborate with the radiology team to support timely reporting.
Requirements
- California state license and/or ARRT Mammography certification
- BLS certification
- Ability to work a Day shift schedule on a Mon–Thu basis (07:00–17:30) with no on-call, holidays, or weekends
- Familiarity with mammography equipment listed: Hologic Mammo, Volpara MRS, and GE DEXA is preferred
- Ability to perform duties in a hospital radiology setting and support a high-quality imaging program
