Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Pella, IA
Contracted
Pella Regional Health Center
Mid Level
Step into a rewarding role as a Travel Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, delivering compassionate care to families at the moment life begins. Based in Pella, Iowa, this assignment is more than a job—it is a chance to influence outcomes for moms and babies while joining a skilled, supportive team that values expertise, empathy, and resilience. You’re set to start on 03/23/2026, working within a dynamic obstetric unit that emphasizes evidence‑based practice, patient‑centered care, and teamwork. Iowa welcomes you with a blend of small‑town charm and scenic landscapes, from tree‑lined streets and welcoming parks to the Dutch heritage that gives Pella its distinctive character. Beyond local roots, our flexible travel program invites you to practice in other U.S. locations, offering diverse experiences while maintaining the high standard of care you bring to every shift.
In Pella, you’ll enjoy a community that supports families, values education, and fosters a reassuring sense of belonging. Easy access to parks, cultural events, and local eateries makes downtime as rewarding as the work itself. You’ll collaborate with physicians, midwives, nurses, and care coordinators who share a commitment to safety, education, and compassionate communication. For nurses who love variety, the program also provides opportunities to serve in additional sites across the country, gaining exposure to different patient populations, hospital systems, and obstetric protocols. For travel assignments, we provide housing support and practical resources to help you feel settled quickly, so you can focus on delivering outstanding care. The compensation package is competitive, with a weekly pay range of $1,754 to $1,938; final numbers depend on shift patterns and location and will be confirmed during hiring. Hours can vary in travel roles, and while this assignment does not guarantee hours, the schedule is designed to align with unit needs and your availability.
As a Labor and Delivery RN on assignment, you’ll manage labor and delivery with vigilance, compassion, and clinical excellence. Responsibilities include continuous fetal and maternal monitoring, pain management administration, patient education, support for labor progression, assistance with deliveries, postpartum and newborn assessments, lactation support, and discharge planning. You’ll work closely with obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and support staff to implement evidence‑based practices, respond to emergencies, and uplift families during a pivotal life moment. The role offers significant opportunities for professional growth: you can pursue obstetric certifications, expand skills in cesarean delivery assistance, neonatal stabilization, and high‑risk obstetrics, and you may mentor newer nurses or student nurses. We also offer a tangible benefits package, including a sign‑on incentive where offered, housing assistance to ease transitions, and the possibility of extension assignments to deepen your expertise. Importantly, you’ll never be alone on the road: 24/7 support is available as you travel with the company, including logistics help, clinical guidance, and a responsive team focused on your success.
Our company is devoted to empowering its nursing staff. We emphasize career advancement within a collaborative, supportive environment that puts patient safety and professional development first. You’ll find mentorship, open communication, and opportunities to lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives. Flexible scheduling, access to continuing education credits, and leadership pathways are part of our commitment to your growth. The travel model is designed to help you build a robust resume while maintaining balance, with a dedicated operations team handling housing, onboarding, and time‑zone coordination so you can concentrate on care delivery and family connections.
If you’re ready to advance your career and make a meaningful difference in a community that values your expertise, apply today. Start 03/23/2026 and join a program that respects your judgment, supports your development, and stands beside you every step of the way.
