Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations across abdomen (Aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, kidneys) including normal and pathological findings.
- Conduct gynecology and obstetrics studies (breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, pelvis; normal and pathological findings; post-menopausal; transvaginal; adult and pediatric populations) and obstetric imaging (1st–3rd trimesters; amniocentesis; complications; biophysical profile; gestational age; placental grading; abnormalities; IGUR; uterus/adnexa).
- Provide ultrasound guidance and support for procedures such as aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative imaging.
- Assess neonatal heads and congenital anomalies in neonatal studies as part of the routine exam repertoire.
- Scan superficial structures (abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum/testes, thyroid) and perform vascular studies (carotid duplex; segmental pressure studies; upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex).
- Document and communicate findings clearly; use Meditech EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS for image management and reporting.
- Maintain readiness to float to other units/departments, and participate in on-call coverage as required.
- Adhere to unit standards and equipment use (Canon i700) and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Arrive the Thursday before start to complete employee health requirements; observe the specified restrictions on time off during the initial contract period (no RTO granted in the first 13 weeks).
Requirements
- Active ARDMS certifications: AB, OB, and RVT
- Active BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of full-time ultrasound experience in an acute hospital setting
- Proficiency across abdomen, gynecologic, obstetric, neonatal, superficial structures, and vascular ultrasound procedures
- Ability to work rotating shifts with 40-hour weeks and on-call as needed; ability to float to other units/departments
- Eligible to work in the listed location; able to participate in a 13-week travel assignment starting 09/14/2026
