Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical and neuro/step-down patients, including neuro assessments and NIHSS considerations as needed
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitor patient status, respond to changes, and implement ACLS protocols when required
- Document care in the EPIC electronic medical record with accurate, timely charting; ensure NIHSS documentation is included in the CV packet
- Collaborate with neurology, medicine, case management, and ancillary teams; participate in rounds and assist with discharge planning
- Maintain patient safety through standard precautions, fall prevention, IV therapy, wound care, and other routine Med/Surg nursing duties

Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing; Nursys license verification required
- Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience in Med/Surg with neuro emphasis; neuro experience required
- ACLS certification; NIHSS documentation must be included in the CV packet to be considered
- EPIC EMR experience required
- No block scheduling and weekends not required; ability to work in a hospital environment
- Candidate profile must include: work history/resume with gaps no greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, certification card, Nursys license verification; load all demographic info into profile, including badge-appropriate photo
