Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Assess patient data, determine diagnoses, and develop and implement care plans to achieve outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking and independent judgment to promote safety and quality care.
- Participate in discharge planning, patient and family education, and treatment team communication.
- Delegate appropriately and oversee duties of the healthcare team; document care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor
- Minimum two years of recent ICU or acute care nursing experience
- BSN preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity ICU environment and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Eligible for travel assignment and able to meet assignment requirements
