Responsibilities
- Provide wound care management, including wound assessment, dressing changes, and documentation
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to wound care needs as assigned
- Monitor patient status, report changes, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team
- Administer prescribed medications and therapies per orders; ensure safe administration
- Maintain infection control practices and patient safety; ensure accurate charting and communication of changes
Requirements
- Wound care experience required
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation
- 40 hours per week guaranteed for the 13-week assignment
- Active RN license to practice in the United States; state licensure for New Mexico required for this assignment
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing environment and with residents’ care plans
