Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Slayton, Minnesota. Start date 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay between $1,872 and $2,019 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days (with rotating days and nights; facility willing to accommodate shift preference). The role is in a hospital setting. The traveler will float between Med/Surg and ED as needed, with Epic charting required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to medically ill and post-surgical patients in a Med/Surg setting
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status; administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Perform and document nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes in EPIC
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including ED staff, for safe patient flow and discharge planning
- Serve as a float between Med/Surg and ED as needed, and step into charge nurse responsibilities when required
- Respond to clinical changes and emergencies promptly, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Requirements
- Current Minnesota RN license in-hand prior to start
- Education: Registered Nurse degree (RN) required
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and TNCC (PALS preferred but not required)
- Experience: Med/Surg and ER experience; prior charge nurse experience is preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and to float between Med/Surg and ED as needed
- Charting experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems
