Responsibilities
- Perform transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and related ultrasound examinations, acquiring high-quality 2D/3D images and Doppler measurements as per protocol
- Optimize imaging, minimize artifacts, and ensure exam accuracy; document findings and communicate preliminary results to the cardiology team per clinical protocol
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment; adhere to infection control, safety standards, and QA/QC procedures
- Prepare and label studies, manage image storage and documentation, and coordinate with team members for timely patient care
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, assist with positioning, and manage IV access or contrast administration as needed
- Participate in required holiday coverage and maintain flexibility to meet department scheduling needs

Requirements
- Certifications: ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or equivalent credentials; Additional credential in one of the following is preferred: RCS or RCCS or ACS (CCI); or RVT/RVS/RS (ARRT) as applicable
- Experience: minimum 2 years of cardiac sonography experience
- Licenses/Credentials: RDCS and RVT credentials required; must maintain BLS certification
- Locality: no local candidates within 50 miles
- Availability to work 4x10-hour day shifts in a hospital setting
- Ability to meet holiday coverage requirements as part of the assignment
